Terms and conditions

All payments for Charlotte Maid Service must be made in advance. We accept cash, check, or credit card payments. If you choose to pay by credit card, you will be required to provide your credit card information at the time of booking.

Our cleaners will be careful while cleaning, and we are insured for any damage or breakage they might cause. However, we cannot be held liable for deterioration due to "normal wear and tear", nor can we be blamed if something is improperly installed - e.g. artwork, family heirlooms valued over $200, etc. Please notify us within 24 hours of your scheduled cleaning if you notice any damage or issues afterward. We promise to do our best to fix the problem and find a solution that everyone can be happy with.

Some items that may appear damaged after cleaning include but are not limited to the following examples:

• Carpet & Rug Snags - Carpet snags are caused by looping fibers that become exposed from general wear and tear, moving furniture, or vacuuming. We use professional-grade vacuums set to industry standards, which cannot be adjusted. To avoid further damage, we will stay clear of any areas with visible carpet damage.
• Broken Blinds - We highly recommend that you close all blinds and shades before our arrival to avoid any accidental breakage. If something does happen, please let us know as soon as possible so we can make arrangements for repair or replacement.
• Delicate Surfaces - We take great care when cleaning surfaces like granite countertops, glass tabletops, etc., but sometimes accidents happen. If something is accidentally broken, please let us know right away so we can take responsibility and make arrangements for repair or replacement.
• Improperly hung pictures/decorations/mirrors - If something falls and breaks during our cleaning, we will do our best to clean up the mess and make arrangements for repair or replacement. However, if the item was not hung properly, to begin with, we cannot be held liable.
• Artwork, Collectibles, or Family Heirlooms valued over $200 - We will take extra care when cleaning around these items, but we cannot be held responsible for any damage that might occur. We recommend that you remove these items from the areas to be cleaned, or at least notify us in advance so we can take extra precautions.
• Woodwork, Vintage/Antique Wood Furniture, Un-finished & Furniture with Special Instructions - If your woodwork, wooden furniture, or vintage wooden furniture is not sealed or constructed of something other than real wood, please let us know when making your reservation. If your furniture requires any particular maintenance, please explain your demands with the item-specific details. Please let us know through email or text the cleaning product(s) you like to supply us with if you want to supply your own for your specific piece(s) of furniture, leather furniture, pianos, etc.
• For other purposes, we may disclose to you at the time we collect your personal information.

KINDLY NOTE THE FOLLOWING;

• Water and electricity are necessities! If your utilities are off, we will be happy to reschedule you for when they are back on.
• We offer three-step ladders that are long enough for getting to the majority of first-floor windows, ceiling fans, and higher shelving. In general, we don't climb higher than that for safety concerns.
• We don't move big appliances and furniture again since it's unsafe and unhealthy. To the degree that it is possible, we can clean below them and around them.
• If the house is in poor condition—whether it be due to shattered glass, mounds of junk, or "hoarder's living space"—we can probably make it livable or habitable. The finished product won't, however, be on par with the degree of cleanliness we can obtain in a typical house. As a result, we will discuss this problem before beginning the task and when we arrive at the location. By utilizing our services, you consent to have Charlotte Maid Service take pictures of, or occasionally videotape, the before and after for us to maybe share them and strategize how to approach the cleaning the best. Without your consent, we will neither store the photographs nor share them in any other way.
• Walls, ceilings, and animal excrement will not be cleaned. In addition to ceilings, walls are also dangerous since they can easily get damaged. Additionally, if the customer's washing and drying equipment are outside of their house, we are unable to provide laundry services.
• Please be aware that we won't offer our services if there is construction taking place or another service is being done when our cleaning staff is at the clients' houses. This is because even after our services have been properly completed, the customer's home will probably get unclean again.

We understand that plans change, and sometimes you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. We just ask that you let us know as soon as possible so we can accommodate other customers. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

We DO NOT process refunds of payments after services have been rendered. However, we want you to be 100% satisfied with our services. So, if for any reason you are not happy with our work, please let us know within 36 hours of the cleaning so we can come back and re-clean the areas that didn't meet your standards, free of charge.

• The customer is responsible for providing Charlotte Maid Service with access to the house (including, but not limited to, gates, doors, and passcodes). If our cleaning staff arrives and is unable to gain entry to the home, the customer will be charged a $50 fee.
• The customer is responsible for ensuring that all areas that need to be cleaned are easily accessible and free of any obstacles. If our cleaning staff arrives and is unable to clean certain areas because they are blocked or otherwise inaccessible, the customer will still be charged for those areas.
• Charlotte Maid Service is not liable for any damage caused by the cleaning process. However, if there is any damage caused by our cleaning staff, we will take responsibility and pay for the repairs.
• The customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Charlotte Maid Service from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in connection with Charlotte Maid Service's provision of services to the customer.
• These terms and conditions are subject to change at any time without prior notice.

By using this site, you represent and warrant that: (i) you are at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in the jurisdiction in which you reside or from which you use this Site; (ii) you have not been previously suspended or removed from this Site; and (iii) your registration and your use of this Site complies with all applicable laws and regulations. If we terminate your access to this Site or Services because you have breached these Terms And Conditions page, then you will not be eligible for a refund.
